Home Ways to Help
Ways You Can
Help
Pilgrims of Ibillin depends upon the
interest, ideas, and resources of many people and small groups throughout the
United States to further its work on behalf of Christian mission projects in
Israel.
Pilgrims of Ibillin also supports
local efforts to bring together Christians, Muslims, and Jews to learn more
about each other's faith and practices, and to work toward peace and
reconciliation among people of differing faiths in their own communities.
Consider the following ways for
individuals and small groups to help in these efforts:
1. Read and stay informed
about the situation in the Middle East.
Request a bibliography of resources and recommended web sites, e-mail pilgrims@triad.rr.com
.
Check out the links and resources under our Resources tab.
2. Make a contribution to
Pilgrims of Ibillin.
There are several present needs that Pilgrims of Ibillin seeks to
address: construction of additional high school classrooms is the highest priority for 2008, scholarship
assistance for students at all levels (including a special opportunity
to provide scholarships for gifted and talented high school students), upgraded computers to replace 20 that have 128mb memories, and the recreation space for the elementary
school.
Donate Now! Make a one-time or recurring donation by credit card to Pilgrims of Ibillin! Or set up a Recurring Gift from your checking or savings account by printing out the Authorization Form for E-Giving and sending it with a canceled check to the Pilgrims of Ibillin Development Director, Rev. Joan Deming, 1541 Comanche Glen, Madison, WI 53704-1012.
Contact Development Director, Joan Deming for
additional information at jdeming7@gmail.com.
3. Order one or both of the
books written by Archbishop Elias Chacour, or the 23-minute video, A Man of Galilee. When you read these inspiring books you will become more familiar
with his life and work. Print orderform here.
4. Plan a program and fund
raising project in your church
to support the work of Pilgrims' partner agencies in the Holy Land.
5. Talk to the staff and members of your church and community
to encourage forming a local chapter of Pilgrims of Ibillin. See Chapters page for more information.
6. Pray for the faculy,
staff, and students of Mar Elias Educational Institutions that they may continue to be a beacon of hope in a very
troubled land.
7. Consider joining a
pilgrimage to Israel. Travel throughout the Galilee
region, where Ibillin is located, is very safe. There are many holy sites to
visit in the Galilee region.
